It's good, really good, to be home.

Apparently you're meant to include a couple of interesting facts on this page. Ever sat down to write interesting facts about yourself? No? Let me tell you - nothing, and I repeat nothing, makes you feel less interesting. This is what I came up with...
I grew up on a cotton farm where I had a pet kangaroo. I went to boarding school for seven years. I have a great-great-great-grandmother whose name was Fanny Rotton. Shetland ponies scare me and I'm suspicious of anything that's set in jelly. Jelly on it's own is fine - that's the way it's meant to be. Please can everyone stop shoving bits of fruit into your jelly. I studied writing (not sure if I should be telling you that?) and photography at uni but, being super clever, I ignored the new digital stuff. My husband and I were friends for five years before there was even a sniff of romance. I can watch my kids play for hours or until a fight breaks out between them, whichever comes first.
I answered some questions about myself on this post, so you could always read that if you are really keen.
This blog began soon after moving from Sydney in 2010. If you are putting off doing something important, you can read about the move here. I really love blogging and like to think I'm adding to the conversation in a small, and mostly silly, way.
I love reading your comments. Please feel very free to contribute - as long as you are not a dickhead, stalker or pervert. And definitely not if you are all three.
